Lidded Walnut Catch Box
$78.00 USD
Keys, a watch, a loose cable, the little heap that ends up on the desk corner with nowhere to go — this is the box for all of it. The corners are mitred so the grain carries unbroken around all four sides, and every inside face is felt, so nothing metal clatters when it lands.
- Mitred corners keep the grain running unbroken around the box
- Felt on every inside face, so keys drop in quietly
- Flush lid, no catch — it just lifts

Materials
Solid walnut carcase, corners mitred and splined. Wool felt lines all inside faces, lid included. Hardwax oil on the outside only — oil inside would stain the felt.
Care
Wipe the outside. Lint-roll the lining. In a humid month the lid may tighten; leave it open a day instead of forcing it and the timber comes back.
